I, and am I sure a few others here, are just getting used to The Boris wagon. When the pioneers set out West did they discover the Rockies on the first day? or did they just begin by getting used to the wagons? Where is your pioneer spirit on your Independence Day? Boris need 1 programme which can do quite a lot more. That would be 2 programmes to do the job. Just a side thought about "Bixelangelo in combination with Blufftitler". There have been lots of tips about masks, keyframing FX, Frame by frame in a paint programme etc.
That is one of the things I tried first, as it has been a little problematic for me to do easily before. Took about 15 minutes to learn and a lot less money I just did this using Bixelangelo in combination with it's sister product Blufftitler. I'm sure Boris Graffiti and FX does a much better job (once you learn how) and is more versatile but if all you want to do is draw a line on a map. but after returning to the Liquid timeline the Boris effect had seemingly changed aspect ratio, and was out of alignment. Īt first I had everything visually correct. The greatest puzzle was to get the screen sizes correct after taking into consideration square/non-square pixels, screen size on Liquid and the size in Boris. if you have the patience and the staying power to get to grips with the learning curve - it is well worth it.Īs a Scot, the price of the Boris suite is much nicer than the more intuitive Adobe equivalents. So to all of you who are still wondering about the Boris plug-ins. I am considering dusting off Camtesia and making a short Tutorial on the whole process - eventually! That is for just a basic line appearing - no bells and whistles like aeroplanes or cars - but that would be reasonably easy if I wanted to add that sort of thing. Time to create ,even quite a complex route, about 1minute 30 seconds! from inside of Liquid, using Boris FX as a plug-in. I can happily say that I can now trace a route on a map, have it reveal over a set period of time.

I needed about 2 hours trial and error, but now I have it under control. To cut a longer story short - Today I used Boris FX to create one of those "route reveal" lines on a map. I got some tips from the Creative Cow website and through their Grafitti FX Forum. (For me I had to add another 35 USD to fly the packet out to Japan!)įX shares the same interface, but thanks to my basic knowledge of Graffiti I was able to get along a bit easier. Then last week, after reading a tip on the Forum about Boris FX discount sale I went ahead and added that to my Graffiti. but slowly things are beginning to make sense. I have not been putting in enough hours trying to climb the steep learning curve. It is almost 6 months ago that I bought Boris Graffiti.Īs a person used to Liquid, HFX, TDKPro as well as some Adobe and some Macromedia programmes - I found the Graffiti interface completely alien.
