In the bottom right corner there is self explanatory button: Delete last town. To make a trade route, click on Sea chart, towns you can select are represented by green and blue ( your piece of land) dots and red ones where you are forbidden to enter, and start connecting the towns by clicking on the dots, route will automatictly connect to next town you select and the starting town, making route repeatable.

After couple of weeks or so, colonial goods ( lowest 3 in the trading meny) are required in most of the colonies and those bring A LOT OF PROFIT. In the very beginning we buy the goods which are produced in one town and sell them in the town which requires them, buy there the goods which are produced and sail to the other town and process repeats. Those goods are produced in the town we are curently at, and have the lowest prices, ALWAYS. Of interest for us are the goods with letter P in left bottom corner.

Red background of amount of goods in the town indicates that you will lose your trading record and your reputation with that nation if you buy those goods ( if you bring number of goods so low that background becomes red, same effect will be applied) Other way to trade is to click on the good picture in the middle, hold the click and move left or right ( I do not recommend this method). On top of the screen you can set up how many units ( 1, 10, 100) you want traded on one click on black pointers with prices shown inside ( I usualy keep 10). To start trading, enter the Docks and trading menu will appear. Why i said earlier it is important? Because we need to have 0 crew ( so we dont spend money for their salaries), 0 cannons ( so we have max cargo space), and at least 2 experience points (Don't worry NO pirates or npc's will attack you). I would suggest that you recruit captains with 2+ points, and if by any chance captain has less, you can always replace him in the next Tavern ( building located within walls of every town)Ĭonvoys morale can be restored in Church ( building located within walls of every town) For trade route we need him to have at least 4 points all together which will be easy task. Captains can have between 0 and 15 experience points devided in 3 categories. In the Captain info section you can see captain experience which we need to be aware of because of the trade routes. Overview and cost for the moment is important, you can see: Ships location, speed, number of cannons, number of crew, hitpoints, cargo, captain info and ship equipment is located in the bottom represented by icons. On the right side of the ship info, there are 5 buttons which are self explanatory: When you enter the game, i would reduce the game speed to 0.1x which will help us not spend some unnecessary time while doing the trading and looking around.Īs soon as you enter the game your ship should be selected, if not, click on anchor on top of your screen ( Convoys without missions button), and you will see the info of your ship in the middle of the bottom part of the menu. Does not matter how you set up your game, every setting has it's own pros and cons.
